I am a painter, photographer, graphic artist, videographer and skilled craftsman. My art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Healdsburg California, the Geyserville Sculpture Trail, Santa Rosa’s Paradise Ridge Winery, Burning Man and now at The Yaquina Art Association.
From 1983-1987 I served on Greenpeace ships and a few on land campaigns, documenting with film and video, efforts to save whales, relocate nuclear fallout victims of the Pacific’s Marshall Islands and interfere with nuclear and oil pollution on the West Coast.
As part of San Francisco’s Asian Art Museum’s series, “Yoga: The Art of Transformation”, I gave a presentation on “Art and Activism”
I currently reside on the Oregon Coast, close to the Alsea River.
Statement
Creating art is a discovery process for me.
As I enter into the act of creation, I bring awareness of who I am and where I’ve traveled, on the most important voyages, the ones inside. I’m never quite sure what the outcome will be, because the process is evolutionary. Underlying all of this is a simple love for life. The Oregon Coast and Siuslaw National Forest are endless inspirations for my photography, both on the land and in the sky.
